The Unexpected

My name is Jailan Dennis, and I am honored to serve as the Co-founder and Assistant minister of Youth Praise Ministries. My journey into ministry has been deeply influenced by our Founder/President/Minister In charge, Byron Stokes III, whose passion for sharing the gospel has inspired me from the very beginning. I am from Chicago and my father is a strong believer in Christ, who taught me about christ. Over the years I grew apart from God, but I am glad that when me and Byron met in middle school he kept me on track for Christ. 

Together, we have built a church/ministry focused on empowering the youth and young adults of Baltimore, and beyond, to live a Christ centered life. My heart is dedicated to helping others, especially the next generation, to find their purpose in God, grow in faith, and become strong leaders in their communities. Mentoring is a major passion of mine, and I take great joy in walking alongside our youth as they navigate life's challenges. With Christ as my firm foundation, I believe that through faith, guidance, and love, we can uplift one another and make a lasting impact in the world around us. I look forward to continuing this mission and seeing lives transformed by the love and power of Jesus Christ.
